My French Press of Caffè Verona

Starbucks Caffe Verona is one of my favorite coffee blends that we offer. This particular dark roast is a well-balanced and rich flavor with a dark cocoa texture notes. This blend is a full bodied blend with low acidity, it pairs well with a warmed Chocolate Croissant or a warmed Flourless Chocolate Chewy Cookie. When I was able to smell the finished french press of Caffe Verona it was very rich, sweet and dark chocolate smell it was very appealing and its a very good morning coffee. When I paired it with the warmed Flourless Chocolate Chewy Cookie it was the most amazing chocolate taste I have ever tasted! When you take a bite of this cookie and then take a sip of the Caffe Verona its like the cookie melts away in your mouth! I would definitely recommend this dark roast blend to anyone, this blend in well within my top 3 favorite coffees that Starbucks offers, not including our reserve coffee. Absolutely love it! Also if you ever have a chance go to a Starbucks Clover store try Caffe Verona as a Clover pressed coffee! Click on the link below to purchase a pound of this coffee!

The Beginning

When I first moved up to Baltimore I really had no intentions of staying with Starbucks I thought "well hey this is just a starting job to get me on my own feet up here" but what I didn't know was that within only 7 months working at Starbucks would change my whole life. After I went to a college up here for a "career" in something I knew i would hate I realized just how much I really did like my job, between the benefits that Starbucks offers and the pay in time that you can get and the amazing experiences that you will have and also the people that you work with I knew I wanted to make this job at Starbucks into an actual career. It was only about 3 and a half months ago I realized just how much I loved my job and the people that I work with my boss who is one of the hardest working people I know shows so much enthusiasm about her job and cares about her store and to her this is just not a job it is a passion. Just about everyone that I work with shows so much passion and care about Starbucks, even on the days I have to wake up at 3am to get ready for work I am absolutely thrilled to get up and go because, i know that when I get to my store we are just one big happy family who cares about each and every customer. About 2 months ago I learned of someone becoming a "Coffee Master", I was wondering what that was it sounded so cool and I asked my Store Manager what I had to do to become one she said that I have to go through about 3 months of training and learn all that there is to know about coffee, to me that sounded like the coolest thing ever! One day when it was a slow afternoon I asked her what her favorite coffee was and if we could do a french press of that coffee. So we did a french press of Cafe Verona and in that moment that I took my first sip I realized just how much I loved the taste of coffee. The smell and the taste and the amazing taste when you paired it with a certain type of food! It was just amazing! In that moment I knew that i was going to become a Coffee Master no matter how much hard work it took I will do it. I have tried a french press of almost every coffee at our Starbucks store and today I even went to a Starbucks Reserve store to buy rare and amazing reserve coffee and try it with a Clover machine! Which I must say is simply amazing! But I will talk about that in another blog. Starbucks has so many opportunity for its employees and I must say because of my store that I work at and the people I work with I am proud to be an employee of Starbucks. But in my final conclusions of my first entry I know that my store manager probably wont read this but its because of her that I have grown to love my job and the people I work with I realize how hard she works and I wish there was something the whole store could do to show her just how much we appreciate her. I hope that one day, in a few years when I get my own store I can be half of a good manager as she is, she is definitively someone that I look up to. But continue to read and follow my blog! Next week I will be talking about how I went to the Starbucks Reserve store and tried the most amazing and rare coffees on the planet! So exciting!
